The overall objective of the application is to better understand how patients function while on treatment for cancer.
As functional status constitutes an important indicator of patients' overall health status, including the degree of an individual's level of independence, is an important aspect to measure in clinical research to inform the clinical benefit of a treatment. Further, collecting data on function can provide complementary information on how disease or treatment-related symptoms interfere with patients' day-to-day. Patients will complete a diary in the form of the application that they can download to their mobile device (iPhone).
